Any advices and pointers are greatly appreciated. However, once it is connected, I can ping the OVPN-AS at 10.9.9.1 but I cannot ping any other IP such as the LAN or access any Internet. So I have managed to get the Dyndns mapped correctly between the Windows-based OpenVPN-AS and my friend's MBP. I understand that the client could not even find the host :1194.Īny helps is appreciated as to what I am missing? (please refer to my server/client config below) "RESOLVE: Cannot resolve host address: :1194: nodename nor servname provided, or not known" ![]() I also add port 1194 UDP in the firewall rule to allow itīut when I try to connect to the Windows PC (from his MBP, using TunnelBlick), the process is stuck at "Resolving Domain Name" and the error from the log is: I also start the OpenVPN service in the Windows machine. Imported all necessary files into TunnelBlick was OK, no errors. So technically speaking, his OPVN-AS on the Windows PC can be reached at ":1194" In the router, I have also forwarded the port 1194 to the his Windows PC. I use default port 1194 UDP for the connection. ![]() The router has a built-in Dyndns updater to map the public dynamic IP address to "" host. He uses a Macbook Pro, running TunnelBlick version 3.7.2beta02 (build 4830) as a openVPN client to connect to his Windows PC. I am now helping my friend to install a openVPN Access Server on his Windows 10 Pro desktop.
